Torino president Urbano Cairo has revealed that he is yet to speak to Manchester United target Andrea Belotti, but admits that the goal is to keep the Italian striker at the club beyond the summer.

The 23-year-old striker’s future at Torino has been subject to much speculation with a spate of clubs in England and Italy linked with a move for him in the upcoming transfer window.

Manchester United and Chelsea have identified Belotti as a potential signing for the summer and even Italian giants AC Milan and Inter Milan are said to be keen on signing him.

Cairo stressed that he is not thinking about selling the player in the summer but admits that if a club outside Italy offer him Belotti’s release clause he would be forced to sell.

However, he did add that he is yet to speak to the striker about his future at Torino despite his interest in keeping him.

“I am not thinking about selling Belotti”, Cairo was quoted as saying by Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Belotti is our player and we have renewed his contract recently and the goal is to keep him.

"Of course there is the release clause, whereby if someone offers €100m from abroad I would be obliged to sell him and accept that kind of an offer.

“I have not spoken to him as he is now with the national team and let’s see how things go, but the goal is to keep him.”

Belotti, who has a contract until 2021 with Torino, scored 28 goals in all competitions last season.
