Celtic target Charly Musonda has spoken with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte and is keen to stay at the club, feeling he will get opportunities due to the Blues competing in four competitions next season.

The 20-year-old, who joined Chelsea from Anderlecht in 2012, is yet to make a first team appearance for the Blues and has recently been linked with Brendan Rodgers' Celtic.

Musonda has thus far enjoyed two separate loan spells at Real Betis; he joined Los Verdiblancos on a loan deal until the end of the season in January 2016 before deciding to extend his stay at the Spanish club for the 2016/17 campaign last summer.

However, the Belgium Under-21 international returned to Chelsea in January after picking up a knee ligament injury.

Although Musonda’s compatriot Eden Hazard advised him to leave Chelsea in search of regular first team action, the starlet wants to remain with the Premier League champions, amidst interest from Celtic and Genk.
