Lille are interested in signing Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, according to Chilean daily El Mercurio.

The 34-year-old, who joined Manchester City from Barcelona last summer, flattered to deceive in his first season in England.

Bravo’s future at Manchester City is currently in doubt after the Premier League outfit signed Brazilian custodian Ederson on a big-money move earlier in the month.

However, Lille, who recently appointed Marcelo Bielsa as their new coach, are showing an interest in snapping up Bravo this summer.

Bielsa previously worked with the custodian during his managerial spell with the Chile national team and should Lille sign Bravo on loan, Manchester City would need to pay part of his annual salary, which is more than €5m, it has been claimed.

Joe Hart’s return to the Etihad Stadium has further complicated matters for Bravo; the Englishman spent the 2016/17 campaign on loan at Torino.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is yet to decide what to do with Hart.

It has been suggested that Guardiola is keen to listen to offers for Bravo, despite the former Barcelona man claiming that he does not wish to leave Manchester City.
