New Borussia Dortmund signing Mahmoud Dahoud, who was heavily linked with Liverpool, has revealed that he had several offers from clubs outside Germany, but the urge to stay in the Bundesliga helped his decision.

The Germany Under-21 international had been linked with a move to Liverpool in the summer but decided against leaving the Bundesliga, putting pen to paper to a five-year contract with Dortmund.

The youngster admits that when the option of moving away from Borussia Monchengladbach came there was only one option as he wanted to stay put in Germany.

The midfielder did not name names, but admitted that a number of clubs from abroad showed interest, but were faced with disappointment.

"Yes, there were several [offers]", Dahoud told German daily Bild.
