Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci has rubbished talk he could leave the Italian champions, despite having been linked with Chelsea.

The Italian defender was wanted by Manchester City last summer, but snubbed the Citizens in favour of staying at Juventus.

But recent reports suggested that the veteran defender was looking for a change of scenery after falling out with coach Massimiliano Allegri in February.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been keeping a close eye on the situation and has been tipped to make a move to allow Bonucci the chance to sample the Premier League.

The man concerned though has yet again denied the possibility of moving from Turin, insisting that there is no basis to the claims..

"Me leaving Juventus? That is just speculation", Bonucci told La Stampa.

The Italian international still has a number of years left on his present contract, which expires in June 2021.

Bonucci managed 45 appearances for Juventus last season, helping the Bianconeri win the domestic double and leading the side to the Champions League final, where they lost to Real Madrid.
