Chelsea target Diego Laxalt admits he is aware of interest in him from several clubs, but nothing concrete has yet materialised.

The Uruguay international is currently on the books at Italian Serie A club Genoa, but the Rossoblu are expected to have to make sales over the summer due to their dire financial position.

Chelsea have lodged an enquiry over Laxalt, while the 24-year-old midfielder has also been linked with Fiorentina, Lazio and Napoli.

He admits he reads about clubs keen on signing him, but has little to report in the way of concrete developments and has not had contact with any other side.

"They are only rumours. At least for the moment there is nothing concrete", Laxalt was quoted as saying by Italian outlet Calcio Mercato.

"I have also read the names of many clubs interested in me and I think it is normal that at this time of the year there is talk about these things.

"But I can assure you that so far I have not met anyone, nor have I had contact with other clubs."

Laxalt also insists that he would have little trouble staying put at Genoa as he feels he owes a debt to the club and their supporters.

"If I am at Genoa then I am fine and I would willingly stay", the former Inter youngster explained.

"I owe a lot to this club and their fans.

"Staying would not be a problem at all."

Genoa signed Laxalt, initially on loan, in the 2015 January transfer window.

The Rossoblu snapped him up on a permanent deal last summer and he put in a series of impressive displays over the course of the season.
