Real Madrid believe they can sell Alvaro Morata for around €100m, owing to Manchester United and Chelsea’s bidding war over the striker, according to Spanish daily Sport.

The Spaniard has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid this summer after struggling to become a regular starter under Zinedine Zidane at the Bernabeu.

AC Milan, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been credited in showing interest in Morata, who scored 20 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions in the recently concluded season.

The Rossoneri were initially leading the race for the 24-year-old and even put forward a serious bid.

But Real Madrid were quick to reject the bid as they expect Morata’s price to go up further due to Manchester United and Chelsea’s interest in the forward.

Los Blancos also turned down a big money offer from the Red Devils for Morata, with the Spanish champions now expecting to benefit and bag around €100m from Manchester United and Chelsea’s bidding war for the former Juventus man.

It has been claimed that Real Madrid intend to utlise the money from Morata’s sale to bring in sought-after Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe, who is incidentally also on the radar of Chelsea and Manchester United.
