Laurent Koscielny has left the door slightly open for a move from Arsenal to Marseille, admitting he supported the club growing up.

The France international is a key man at the Emirates Stadium and Arsenal would likely do all they can to block his departure – but Koscielny's words have handed Marseille some encouragement.

Marseille's chances of signing Koscielny may be rated as small, but the French giants beat the odds earlier this year when they snapped up Dimitri Payet from West Ham. The defender is clear that unlike Payet though, he is happy in London.

"I have a contract with Arsenal, which I extended last November. At the moment I am a Gunner, I feel great there", Koscielny said on Telefoot.

However, Koscielny left the door open slightly for Marseille.

"It's always fun. I've always said that I was a fan of OM when I was little.

"Do they have a chance? I do not know", Koscielny laughed.

Signing Koscielny would be rated as a huge coup for Marseille, who are currently trying to rebuild their squad

Marseille also snapped up a big name, in addition to Payet, in the shape of Patrice Evra, earlier this year.

The Ligue 1 club are expected to be active during the summer transfer window as they bid to improve on a finish of fifth this season.
