Italian side Chievo Verona have chosen to once again loan out in-demand striker Caleb Ekuban.

The Italian-born Ghanaian hitman has been linked with both Cypriot giants APOEL and English Championship side Leeds United, on the back of an impressive loan spell in Albania.

He scored 17 goals in 33 games for Partizani Tirana, who had been wanting to keep him on a permanent deal.

But according to Ghanasoccernet.com, Chievo have decided they want to loan Ekuban out once again, to continue his development, ruling out a permanent return to Albania.

APOEL have been claimed to want to sign Ekuban permanently, while it is unclear on what basis Leeds have been looking to secure the 23-year-old.

Chievo though still believe there is plenty in the development tank for Ekuban and want another loan spell for the striker.

Ekuban has now headed back to Italy on holiday, as Chievo look to plan his next move.

The hitman helped Partizani Tirana to a finish of second in the Albanian top flight this season, something which means Europa League football for the club next term.
