Daniel Candeias has insisted that he is not concerned about the pressure associated with turning out for Rangers as he has already played for a lot of other “good teams”.

The winger, who became the Gers’ fifth summer recruit after penning a two-year deal on Sunday, spent the last season on loan at Turkish side Alanyaspor from Benfica.

Candeais joined Benfica from Nacional in 2014, but failed to make any first team appearances for the Eagles.

Besides Alanyaspor, he was also sent out on loan to Nurnberg, Granada and Metz during his time at Benfica.

The 29-year-old is a product of FC Porto’s youth system and managed to clock up nine appearances in all competitions for the Portuguese giants, scoring once.

And Candeais, who was loaned out several times by Porto as well, explained that he is confident about thriving under pressure at Ibrox, having previously played for other big clubs.

“I know about the pressures here and I am expecting that, I’m not concerned about it because I have played for a lot of other good teams”, he said on Rangers TV.

“Even though I didn’t play for the first-team at Benfica I played for Porto when I was younger so I am already used to this kind of pressure.”

Candeias, who previously played under Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha at Nacional, believes he will find stability once again at Ibrox.

“I have moved around a lot, I was a Benfica player and I believed I had the quality to play in the team but unfortunately I never had the opportunity so I was loaned out”, he continued.

“I am looking for the stability now that I had at Nacional when I had three years and played the best I ever have.

“I believe I will find that stability here and with luck I will reach that level of performance again.”
