Paris Saint-Germain have slapped in an initial offer for Torino striker Andrea Belotti, who is also a target for Manchester United this summer.

The 23-year-old Italian’s future at Torino has been subject to much speculation as a number of top European clubs are eyeing snaring him from Italy during the upcoming transfer window.

Chelsea have long been linked with making a move for him and even Manchester United are interested in taking him to Old Trafford this summer, but it seems the Premier League duo are set to face competition from France.

PSG have barged into the chase for Belotti and according to French broadcaster Canal+, the Parisians have placed an initial offer on Torino’s table for the prolific striker.

The Ligue 1 giants have slapped in a €60m offer for the striker, but Torino are likely to reject the bid as they have made it clear that they won’t sell him for anything less than the €100m figure mentioned in his release clause.

A number of clubs have tried their luck with bids for Belotti but none of them are yet to match Torino’s financial demands and the striker himself is yet to actively push for a transfer.

It remains to be seen whether PSG are prepared to bite the bullet and offer the figure in the striker’s release clause to Torino this summer.

With the World Cup on the horizon next summer, Torino are hopeful that they will be able to use the event as leverage to hold on to Belotti for at least one more season.
