Getafe president Angel Torres has insisted that the club will claim a compensation fee should Real Madrid sell Alvaro Morata this summer.

Manchester United have been in talks with Real Madrid for the 24-year-old striker and are confident of getting a deal over the line soon to take him to England.

There is talk that the two club could reach an agreement over a fee worth €75m to €80m and it seems Real Madrid might not see that full amount reach their coffers as Getafe want part of that.

Originally from the Atletico Madrid academy, the Spain international did spend some time with Getafe’s youth set-up before joining Real Madrid and Torres insisted that the club will charge training compensation should Morata leave the Bernabeu this summer.

Speaking on Spanish radio station Onda Cero’s El Transistor program, the Getafe president said: “If they sell Morata, we will charge our training rights.

Morata’s agent confirmed on Monday that Manchester United have made an offer for the Spaniard but the final decision will be taken by Real Madrid.
