Pepe Reina’s agent has rubbished suggestions the Napoli man could join AC Milan and stressed that the Newcastle United target's priority is to stay with the Azzurri 

The veteran goalkeeper’s future at Napoli has been subject to much speculation over the last few weeks, with suggestions that he could be leaving the San Paolo this summer.




Talks over a new deal with Napoli have hit a roadblock and AC Milan are reportedly interested in signing him this summer, with Gianluigi Donnarumma yet to sign a new deal with the Rossoneri.

However, Manuel Garcia Quilon, the player’s agent poured cold water over the AC Milan links and insisted that Reina will only play for Napoli if he stays in Italy.
 


Asked about interest from AC Milan, the goalkeeper’s agent told Calciomercato.it: “No, there is nothing.

Rafael Benitez is keen to sign his former Liverpool goalkeeper for Newcastle United this summer, but Quilon made it clear that Reina’s first priority is to stay at Napoli.

“We are talking about a very good player who is wanted by many but his priority is to stay at Napoli.”

Asked about a new contract, which Reina has been angling for, he added: “I don’t know; we have talked about it, but we have not gone forward.”
