AC Milan have offered to sell Paraguayan defender Gustavo Gomez to Everton during talks with representatives of the Merseyside club.

Everton have sent a delegation to Italy to conduct transfer business and the club have been holding talks with some of the top sides in Serie A, including a meeting with AC Milan.




There have been suggestions that the names of Gerard Deulofeu and M’Baye Niang have cropped up during discussions between the Rossoneri and the Toffees.

And it has emerged that another name has been discussed by the two clubs as according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, AC Milan have proposed selling defender Gomez to Everton.
 


The 24-year-old defender joined AC Milan from Argentine outfit CA Lanus last summer for a fee of €8m and they are prepared to sell him at the same price this time around.

Everton are set to hold talks with manager Ronald Koeman with regards to the opportunity of signing the Paraguayan before answering AC Milan’s call.

Gomez was only used sporadically by AC Milan coach Vincenzo Montella last season and the defender only made eleven starts in Serie A.

He has a contract until 2021 with the club.
