Rangers have had a bid for Hearts winger Jamie Walker rejected.

The 23-year-old has turned down the offer of a new contract at Hearts and is into the last year of his contract with the Tynecastle outfit.

Hearts have admitted that Walker wants to leave the club, but Rangers' bid has not proved sufficient to cause the Jambos to accept the offer on the table.

It remains to be seen if Rangers will return with an improved offer for Walker, as they bid to add the winger to their ranks.

Rangers have been working hard in the transfer market in recent weeks.
