Newly promoted Premier League outfit Brighton have made a move for AC Milan striker Gianluca Lapadula and have slapped in a bid for him.

With AC Milan heavily investing in their attacking line this summer, Lapadula is expected to leave the Rossoneri in the coming months and has been attracting interest from clubs in Italy and England.

Everton are said to be interested in snapping up the striker during the summer transfer window but it is Premier League new boys Brighton who have made the first decisive move for Lapadula.

According to Italian daily Tuttosport, Brighton have made an offer to AC Milan through an intermediary and are waiting for a response from the Serie A giants in the coming days.

The figures of their bid are unclear but AC Milan are expected to consider their bid as they are planning to offload Lapadula to make space in their squad this summer.

AC Milan could also consider making him part of the deal to sign Nikola Kalinic from Fiorentina, but it is more or less certain the Italian will leave the San Siro.

Despite interest from Brighton and Everton, there are suggestions that Lapadula is not prioritising a move to England this summer but it seems the Premier League new boys are still prepared to try their luck.
