Former Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka is confident that Manchester United target Alvaro Morata is made to succeed in English football.

The 24-year-old striker has been heavily linked with a move to England, with Manchester United pressing hard to take him to Old Trafford during the summer transfer window.

Morata’s agent was at Real Madrid's offices on Wednesday to discuss his client’s future, which looks more and more likely to be in England, and the striker has already agreed personal terms with the Premier League giants.

Karanka, who served as Mourinho’s assistant at Real Madrid and has worked with Morata, believes the striker has the game to fit in any league but feels he is especially suited to succeed in the hurly burly of Premier League football.

The former Middlesbrough boss said on Spanish radio station Cadena SER’s El Larguero programme: “He can fit anywhere and has everything.
