Tensions are growing between Antonio Conte and the Chelsea hierarchy over the club’s inaction in the transfer market this summer.

Conte won the Premier League title in his first season at Chelsea and only lost out on winning the double to Arsenal in the FA Cup final at the end of the of the campaign.




There has been talk of Conte signing a new and improved contract with Chelsea but he is yet to put pen to paper on a fresh deal and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, there is simmering tension between the Italian and the club hierarchy.

Chelsea were not happy that Conte told Diego Costa via a text message that the striker is not in his plans for next season and the club feel it reduced their negotiating chances this summer.
 


And with Chelsea yet to make any significant movements in the transfer window, Conte is also not happy with the way the club have so far conducted their business this summer.

The Italian is aware that he needs a bigger squad next season to compete both in the Premier League and the Champions League, but the club are not close to securing any new signings.

The Chelsea manager is losing his patience over the way the club hierarchy are conducting themselves in the market and that has led to growing tension between him and Chelsea.

Conte walked out of Juventus in the middle of pre-season in 2014 when the club failed to attain the targets he wanted in the transfer window.
