Everton are interested in snapping up Juventus midfielder Stefano Sturaro during the summer transfer window.

Sturaro signed a new four-and-a-half-year contract with Juventus in December last year and despite not being a regular starter, he remained a key member of the squad.

His performances in the middle of the park have attracted the attention of the Premier League outfit and according to Sky Italia, Everton have expressed an interest in taking him to England.

A delegation from Everton were in Italy earlier this week to conduct transfer business and met officials of top clubs such as AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus for talks.

There are suggestions that the Toffees expressed their interest in signing Sturaro when they met the Juventus officials, but it is unclear whether the Italian champions are prepared to sell him.
