Everton have moved in quickly and have slapped in a bid for AC Milan winger M’Baye Niang, who has also been linked with a move to Arsenal.

The 22-year-old Frenchman spent the second half of last season on loan at Watford and the Hornets have not taken up the option of signing him on a permanent deal for a set fee of €18m.

However, Niang could still feature in the Premier League next term as Everton are pushing hard to sign him and according to Calciomercato.com, the club have placed an offer on AC Milan’s table.

It has been claimed that the Toffees have offered €15m for the player and are hopeful of getting a deal over the line soon to make sure Niang wears the Everton colours next season.

AC Milan have been keen to earn the €18m figure that they agreed with Watford, but there is little indication that they have rejected Everton’s offer thus far.

There is also talk of Everton booking a medical for the player but the winger is yet to agree personal terms with the Toffees and all the stakeholders in the deal have been locked in talks to reach an agreement.

There has also been speculation that Arsenal are interested in Niang but it seems likelier with every passing hour that the Frenchman is moving towards playing under Ronald Koeman at Goodison Park next season.
