Manchester United are poised to increase their offer for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic in order to sign him this summer.

The 28-year-old Croatian winger has been one of Jose Mourinho’s top targets this summer, but Manchester United have so far faced frustration in their chase of the Inter man.

The Nerazzurri are holding out for a fee around the €50m mark and have already knocked back offers of €35m and €40m respectively from Manchester United for Perisic this summer.

Manchester United have not given up on their hope of negotiating a fee with Inter for the winger, who is also a target for Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain, and according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, the club are preparing to slap in a third bid for the Croatian.

The Red Devils are poised to make an offer of worth €45m, a figure which is a still short of Inter’s asking price but Manchester United are confident of reaching a deal this time around.

It remains to be seen whether Inter are prepared to climb down from their stated position as they need the money by the end of the month to balance their books or look to force Manchester United into paying their asking price.

The Premier League giants have already agreed the terms of a contract with Perisic and just need to thrash out the fee with Inter to make sure the Croatian arrives at Old Trafford this summer.
