Toulouse have stamped on speculation that defender Issa Diop could be sold this summer.

The highly-rated France Under-20 star has been linked with Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and RB Leipzig this summer, though Monaco have recently been making the running for his signature with talk of a €10m swoop.

Diop has admitted he knows he will have to quit Toulouse eventually to fulfil his potential, but the club may not be willing to sell this summer, especially after issuing a hands-off warning.

Toulouse said in a statement: "Toulouse Football Club formally denies any contacts that have been reported in the press over the last few days as regards the players that make up our defence.

"TFC states that there is no contact and, moreover, we do not expect it either", the statement added.

Along with Diop, another Toulouse defender has been linked with the exit door, in the shape of 24-year-old Christopher Jullien.

Diop, just 20 years old, impressed with his performances in the heart of the Toulouse defence last season and he has now established himself as a key man at the club.

The defender has represented France at every youth level, up to the Under-21 ranks.
