Liverpool could soon put in a bid for Bordeaux striker Gaetan Laborde.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is hunting summer reinforcements and Laborde's performances in the recently concluded season in Ligue 1 with Bordeaux have caught the German's eye.

According to French daily Le Parisien, Liverpool could well soon lodge an offer of €10m for the 23-year-old hitman.

Laborde scored 13 goals and provided five assists over 42 appearances in all competitions for Bordeaux last term.

Laborde came through the youth ranks at Bordeaux and established himself at the club following loan stints with Red Star Paris, Brest and Clermont Foot.

The striker is under contract with Bordeaux until the summer of 2020, putting the French side in a strong position to dictate the terms of his departure.

If Laborde headed to Liverpool he would face fierce competition for a spot in attack, with Klopp having a number of options to choose from, including former Lille striker Divock Origi.
