New Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen has ruled out bringing in players from his previous club APOEL, at present.

The 44-year-old was recently appointed the new boss at Elland Road and he has been instantly linked with moving to bring in familar faces from Cypriot side APOEL, whom he left at the end of last season following a defeat in the Cypriot Cup final.

Christiansen admits he is discussing potential signings with sporting director Victor Orta, but insists talk he is targeting players from his previous clubs is wide of the mark.

"We are talking with Victor and we will see", the Dane said at a press conference when asked if he is looking to bring in players from APOEL.

"But right now there is no player from my previous teams we have in mind", he added.
