Tottenham Hotspur star Georges-Kevin Nkoudou insists he did not believe Chelsea were the same level of rivals as Arsenal, as he explained wearing a Chelsea shirt.

The former Marseille winger posed for a photograph wearing the Chelsea shirt and later explained it was a shirt given to him by his former team-mate Michy Batshuayi, the Chelsea striker.

Nkoudou has insisted he meant no disrespect, commenting: "It's not a lack of respect. It's a shirt exchanged between friends."

The winger also says he was unaware that the rivarly between Chelsea and Tottenham was in the same bracket as that with Arsenal, adding"I really thought Arsenal were hot[ter rivals] and Chelsea less, that will teach me."

Nkoudou posing in a Chelsea shirt has already provoked a fierce reaction from Tottenham fans, with calls for the club to show him the door.
