Juventus have kicked off their bid to sign Matteo Darmian from Manchester United as they plan for life without Dani Alves.

Alves is all set to quit the Italian champions and the Bianconeri are wasting no time in trying to secure a replacement in the shape of Italy international Darmian.

According to Sky Italia, Juventus have already made contact with Manchester United to start the ball rolling.

It is claimed Manchester United have let it be known they are willing to do business for the right price, with Darmian rated at the €20m mark.

The defender featured regularly for Jose Mourinho's men in the recently concluded season as the Red Devils did a cup double by lifting both the EFL Cup and the Europa League.
