Partizani Tirana are continuing to hold talks with Chievo Verona over striker Caleb Ekuban, who has been linked with Leeds United, and hope the 23-year-old's desire to stay will help a deal to be done.

Ekuban has just signed off on a season-long loan in Albania, during which he netted on 17 occasions as he helped Partizani to qualify for the Europa League; they have been drawn to face Botev Plovdiv in the first qualifying round.

Partizani want to sign Ekuban permanently, but Chievo have been eyeing a fresh loan for their striker, amid interest from APOEL and Leeds United.

Leeds have just appointed Thomas Christiansen, who left APOEL at the end of last term, as their new head coach, raising the possibility that Ekuban is a direct request of the new boss.

However, according to Ghanasoccernet.com, Partizani are continuing to hold talks with Chievo for the Ghanaian striker.
