New Leeds United boss Thomas Christiansen insists he is aiming for his side to pick up all three points in their Championship opener at Bolton Wanderers.

Leeds have been handed a trip to the newly promoted side as their first fixture of the 2017/18 season and the match will also represent Christiansen's first taste of English football.

The 44-year-old has arrived from Cyprus, after managing Cypriot side APOEL, and he is keen for Leeds to pick up all three points from their trip to Bolton.

"Bolton away will be a tough start to the season, but we will be ready", he told his club's official Twitter account.

"From the moment the players start training on Monday, we will have our sights set on the 6th August", he continued.

Following their trip to Bolton, Leeds are involved in EFL Cup action with a midweek visit from Port Vale.

Christiansen then has his first home Championship match as Leeds boss to look forward to with Preston North End providing the opposition at Elland Road.

Leeds then have another home clash, in midweek, against Fulham, while visits to Sunderland and Nottingham Forest round off August for the Whites.
