Jose Mourinho has no plans to part ways with Matteo Darmian this summer unless the player wants to leave Manchester United, amidst interest from Italy.

The defender struggled to even feature in Mourinho’s matchday squads towards the start of the season but as the months rolled along he became a key player and ever started the Europa League final against Ajax.

Darmian has kept his counsel regarding his future at Manchester United but he is attracting interest from Italy, with Juventus opening talks with the Red Devils for his signature.

However, the player has become a key part of Mourinho’s plans going forward and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Manchester United manager won’t contemplate selling him unless the Italian wants to leave.

The defender, who has a contract until 2019, has repeatedly stated that he has no problems with Mourinho and has been happy with the way things have turned out for him at Manchester United.
