Former Bundesliga and Premier League striker Jan Aage Fjortoft insists that Robert Lewandowski will not be moving to Chelsea or Manchester United this summer.

It emerged on Wednesday morning that both Premier League sides have held talks with his representatives to sign the Poland striker, with suggestions a big-money switch to England could be on the cards for the Bayern Munich star.

But Fjortoft feels there is little chance Lewandowski will move to England and believes it is a case of his agent seeking to create headlines.

"Lewandowski to Man Utd or Chelsea?" Fjortoft wrote on Twitter.

"Speciality of his agent to spread stories like this", he continued.

"Just extended his contract (2021)."

And Fjortoft added the hashtag #WontHappen.

It has been claimed that Lewandowski has a frosty relationship with Bayern Munich coach Carlo Ancelotti, but he still scored 43 goals in all competitions for the Bavarians last term.

In total the 28-year-old has netted 110 goals in 147 games for the Bundesliga champions.
