Everton have been keeping close tabs on Sassuolo striker Domenico Berardi, who is also a target for Roma this summer.

The 22-year-old has been linked with making a move away from Sassuolo in the transfer window, with a number of Italian clubs believed to be on his trail.




Roma are said to have been leading the chase for Berardi but the club are not prepared to match Sassuolo’s €25m asking price for the player and are keen to negotiate the figure down.

Sassuolo are not prepared to water down their financial demands at the moment and the player is also attracting interest from clubs in Spain and England this summer.
 


And according to Il Messaggero, Everton are one of the clubs who watched the player in action a number of times last season and are considering making a move for him.

The Merseyside club are said to be very active in the Italian market this time around and Berardi is one of the several Serie A based players the club are considering at the moment.

Despite missing a large chunk of last season due to a knee injury, Berardi still managed to impress and scored ten goals and provided eleven assists in all competitions for Sassuolo.

He has a contract until 2019 with the club.
