Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta has indicated that the club won’t hold on to Chelsea target Alex Sandro against his will this summer.

Chelsea are interested in snaring the Brazilian full-back away from the Italian champions this summer, but Juventus have already rejected a big money offer from the Blues.

The Premier League champions are expected to return to the negotiating table with Juventus and try and agree a fee for Sandro and Marotta has claimed that the club won’t hold on to any player who wants to leave.

He admits that ultimately it serves no one to force a player to continue at the club against his will, but the Juventus CEO insisted that the Italian champions are not dealing with any such scenario at the moment.

Asked about Sandro’s future, Marotta was quoted as saying by Tuttosport: “We have no intention of giving away anyone.

“If a player, however, decides to leave as it has been the case in the past, he must eventually leave because it is not helpful for anyone to hold on to a player against his will.

“But at the moment there are no such situations and we are hopeful that no one will leave.”

Antonio Conte wants to have more options in his full-back areas and Sandro is his top target, but it remains to be seen whether Chelsea are prepared to push the boat out to secure the Brazilian’s signature this summer.
