Barcelona have rejected a big money offer from a Premier League club for Manchester United linked midfielder Andre Gomes.

The Catalan giants paid big money and warded off interest from Manchester United and Juventus to secure the signature of the Portuguese midfielder last summer.

But after an underwhelming season there are suggestions that Gomes could be made available in the market and Juventus and Manchester United are reportedly monitoring his situation.

However, it seems Barcelona are in no mood to lose the midfielder just yet and according to Catalunya Radio, they have rejected a €35m offer for the midfielder this summer.

It has been claimed that Jorge Mendes presented the offer on the Premier League club’s behalf, but Barcelona have made it clear that they won’t sell Gomes after just one season.

The club consider him an important part of the squad moving forward and he also has the confidence of the new coach Ernesto Valverde, who is prepared to offer the midfielder a chance to shine next season.

It remains to be seen whether the unnamed Premier League club look to test Barcelona’s resistance again with a new offer or consider other options in the market.
