Watford have tabled an offer for Arsenal linked defender Sebastien Corchia and are interested in signing him this summer.

The 26-year-old defender’s future at Lille has been subject to speculation as the player has hinted that after a number of years in France, he is considering tasting something new this summer.




Arsenal have been linked with a swoop for the player but they are yet to make any concrete moves for Corchia and another English club have taken definitive steps to secure his signature.

According to French sports daily L’Equipe, Watford are one of the clubs who have placed an offer on Lille’s table for the defender and are keen to work out a deal for him.
 


Other than the Hornets, Turkish giants Besiktas and a Spanish club have also slapped in bids for the player and Lille are considering selling Corchia during the upcoming window.

With three clubs already in the mix, it remains to be seen whether Arsenal make any concrete moves for Corchia to make their intentions known or look for other options.

The defender, who has racked up 127 appearances for Lille, has a contract until the end of next season with the club.
