Arsenal will hold a meeting with Lyon next week at which they hope to finalise a deal for striker Alexandre Lacazette.

Arsene Wenger has zeroed in on the 26-year-old hitman and wants to add him to his squad over the summer, as he attempts to guide the Gunners back into the top four next season.

Arsenal have offered €50m for Lacazette, a figure which meets the requirements of Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas.

According to French radio station RMC, Arsenal are now firmly pressing the accelerator on the deal as they attempt to push it over the line.

The Premier League club are expected to meet with Lyon early next week, a meeting at which Arsenal hope to iron out all the aspects of the agreement.

Lacazette himself is currently on holiday and is giving himself several more days to decide what to do.

The striker is not deaf to Arsenal's interest, but he has not ruled out joining another club and is continuing to consider his options.

He has also not completely ruled out a move to Atletico Madrid, even though the Spanish side would not be able to register him until the January transfer window.
