Port Vale manager Michael Brown is eagerly looking forward to returning to Elland Road as a manager when his side take on Leeds United in an EFL Cup first round game in August.

The League Two side have been pitted against the Yorkshire giants in the first round of the competition and Port Vale will travel to Elland Road towards the start of the season on 8th August.




Brown, a former Leeds player, is waiting in eager anticipation to return to his old stomping ground as a manager and admits that even his players are mightily excited about the cup game.

Leeds will open their league campaign away at Bolton and the EFL Cup clash will be their first home game of the season, and the Port Vale boss is expecting a great atmosphere at Elland Road for the cup game.
 


He told his club's official site: "It's a great fixture for me and the players as well.

"For me personally being a Leeds United player I can't wait to back as a manager and I'm thoroughly looking forward to it."

Leeds will be looking to avoid a shock result at home and progress in the competition by beating the League Two outfit when they meet in August.
