Swiss Super League side FC Lugano are hunting a replacement for Ezgjan Alioski, who is expected to sign for Leeds United.

The Macedonia international winger is a wanted man following a superb season in the Swiss top flight, but it appears Leeds have stolen a march on other clubs chasing his signature; Alioski has been linked with several Bundesliga clubs.

According to Swiss daily 20 Minuten, Alioski is expected to leave Lugano for Leeds and as such has not started pre-season training with the club.

Lugano are actively looking for a replacement for Alioski, who was in fine form for the club last term.

Alioski netted 16 times and provided 14 assists for Lugano in the Super League, hinting at the scale of task the club face as they look to replace him.
