Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has set an asking price for Liverpool linked defender Faouzi Ghoulam.

The full-back has a contract until the end of next season with Napoli and the club have been in talks with his representatives to reach an agreement over a new deal for the player.

However, the negotiations are yet to yield any positive result and there continues to remain a sense of uncertainty over the Algerian’s long term future at the San Paolo.

Liverpool have been recently linked with a move for Ghoulam and there are suggestions that they could be willing to make an offer for the player in the coming days.

Jorge Mendes, the player’s agent, is expected to talk to the Napoli sporting director soon and the two are not only expected to discuss a new contract but also a potential offer from Liverpool.

And Giuntoli has made it clear what kind of fee Napoli are expecting if they agree to sell the player this summer.

The Napoli sporting director told Italian broadcaster Rai Sports: “If they want him, give us €15m.”

Liverpool are in the market for a full-back and Ghoulam is believed to be on their shortlist of targets.

Intriguingly, Liverpool recently rejected a bid from Napoli for Alberto Moreno, raising the prospect the Spaniard could form part of any deal for Ghoulam.
