Agent Juan Moreno has admitted that Leeds United are battling against La Liga clubs to secure the signature of Samuel Saiz from Spanish side Huesca.

The Whites are looking to make additions this summer and have zeroed in on Saiz following his fine form in the Spanish second tier last term.

Eibar want Saiz, while Real Betis, Las Palmas and Alaves are also keen on securing the 26-year-old's signature in the summer transfer window.

Leeds are in the mix, Moreno admits, while conceding Saiz is wanted by top flight Spanish outfits.

"Samuel has a firm [interest] from Leeds United and also other Premier League [La Liga] clubs in Spain", the agent told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Moreno also made clear that Saiz will consider a move to England as one of the options on his table.

The attack-minded midfielder, who can also play further up the pitch as a forward, scored 12 goals in the Spanish second tier last season, but Huesca could not win promotion after losing out in the playoffs.

However, Saiz is set to be given the opportunity to play in La Liga if he chooses, though he could also opt for the challenge of a fresh league in a new country in the shape of Leeds.
