A transfer scrap is threatening to break out between several English and French clubs for Leeds United linked attacking midfielder Yannis Salibur.

Hull City agreed a deal with Guingamp to sign Salibur in the winter transfer window earlier this year, but could not push the deal over the line before the deadline, meaning Salibur stayed in France.

The 26-year-old is poised to be on the move from Guingamp this summer though as the French side have consented to letting him leave for the right price.

Leeds have been linked with rekindling their interest in Salibur, but they are just one of a number of sides keen on snapping up the attacker.

According to French outlet Foot Mercato, Salibur's agent has confirmed that several English clubs and at least three big French sides are interested in his client.

Guingamp have yet to receive an official bid for Salibur, but it is claimed that there are likely to be developments over the coming days as the race starts to heat up.

Salibur made 35 appearances for Guingamp in Ligue 1 last season, scoring eight goals in the process.

He has been at the club since joining from Clermont Foot in 2015 and is a graduate of France's illustrious Clairefontaine academy.
