Ousmane Dembele's agent held a lengthy meeting with Barcelona on Friday, as the Blaugrana try to thrash out a contract for the Borussia Dortmund star.

The German giants only snapped Dembele up last summer, but his performances in the Bundesliga have turned heads and Barcelona are leading the charge, while Chelsea and Manchester United are monitoring the situation.

Dembele is claimed to want to go to the Camp Nou, especially after Thomas Tuchel left Dortmund, and according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.it, his agent was in Spain on Friday for what was a lengthy meeting with Barcelona.

On the agenda was what contract would be waiting for the 20-year-old if he signs up.

Barcelona have not yet agreed a fee with Dortmund for Dembele, but the Catalans are in pole position, ahead of Chelsea and Manchester United.

Dortmund want to realise the highest possible fee for Dembele and there are reportedly looking for as much as €90m to sell.

Barcelona are claimed to be ready to reach €70m, including bonuses, but it is unclear whether Dortmund will shift their position.

A failure to agree a fee could leave the door open for either Chelsea or Manchester United to take advantage.
