Arsenal youngster Chris Willock is rapidly closing in on a move to Portuguese giants Benfica, according to Portuguese sports daily Record

Willock is out of contract at Arsenal this summer and has already attracted interest from Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.

The Citizens are not the only side keen on the 19-year-old and several other clubs have spied an opportunity to snap up an emerging talent as he nears the end of his deal.

It is Benfica who are set to win the race however, with Willock giving key importance to how many first team chances he will get next season.

He made two appearances in the EFL Cup for Arsenal last season and is desperate to ramp up his playing time next term to kick on with his development.
