Everton are prepared to make a move for Lille winger Martin Terrier this summer, after the player impressed scouts from the Merseyside club.

The Toffees have been watching the 20-year-old winger over the last few months and West Ham have also been interested in taking him to the Premier League.

Terrier again caught the eye of the Everton scouts during the recently concluded Under-20 World Cup and it seems the reports on the player have made an effect on the recruitment team at Goodison Park.

And according to French sports daily L’Equipe, the Merseyside club are poised to make a move for Terrier based on the glowing reports they have received from their scouts.

Terrier was not a regular for Lille last season and only made 15 senior appearances in all competitions but it seems he has done enough to catch the eye of the observers from Everton.

He has been capped four times by France Under-20s and scored a goal in the recently concluded World Cup.

It remains to be seen whether Terrier manages to break into Ronald Koeman’s first team if he joins Everton or is drafted into their Under-23 squad.
