Leeds United are claimed to have a good chance of winning the race to sign in-demand Huesca forward Samu Saiz.

The 26-year-old's performances in the Spanish second tier last season have seen a number of clubs looking to secure his signature, with Leeds battling competition from Eibar, Alaves, Granada and Malaga.

The Whites are reported to have made the highest bid for Saiz, at €3.5m, while Alaves have only put forward €3m so far.

Nevertheless, it could be classed as a shock if Saiz snubs the chance to play in La Liga in favour of a move to England's second tier.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds have a good chance of winning the race for Saiz and tempting him to Elland Road.
