Frank de Boer is on the verge of taking over as Crystal Palace manager on a three-year contract.

The former Ajax and Inter coach is looking to return to management and will do so in south London, where he is set to sign a deal with Palace.

According to Dutch broadcaster FOX Sports, De Boer is on the verge of signing a contract for three years with the Eagles.

The 47-year-old was offered the job at Selhurst Park last week after impressing during talks with club supremos.

He led Ajax to four consecutive Eredivisie titles before stepping down from his job at the end of the 2015/16 campaign, which saw PSV Eindhoven end the Amsterdam club's monopoly.

De Boer returned to football with Inter last summer, but did not last long with the Serie A giants after being sacked in November.

The Dutchman was linked with the job at Rangers earlier this year, having played for the Gers, but was keen to wait until the summer to assess his options.

Now De Boer, who turned down a chance to speak to Liverpool about taking over at Anfield in 2012, will look to make a splash in the Premier League.
