Leeds United are closing in on signing Huesca forward Samu Saiz, but a deal is not done and dusted yet amid strong interest from La Liga.

The Whites are pushing hard to snap up the 26-year-old, who impressed with Huesca in the Spanish second tier last season.

Leeds are claimed to have put in the highest offer, at €3.5m, though €3m has been placed on the table by Alaves, while Granada, Eibar and Malaga are also keen on Saiz.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Saiz is keen to join Leeds and the Whites are not far off landing their man.

But the deal is not done yet and the forward's Spanish suitors are unlikely to back down without a fight.

Leeds are increasingly targeting players outside British football this summer and have already landed Polish midfielder Mateusz Klich, who has arrived from Dutch side FC Twente.

The Yorkshire giants are also keen on Lugano's Ezgjan Alioski, who turned on the style in the Swiss top flight last season, while Saiz would represent another foreign signing.
