Everton are close to reaching an agreement with QPR for highly rated youngster Josh Bowler, according to Sky Sports News HQ

The Toffees are working hard to bolster Ronald Koeman's options over the summer transfer window and have focused in on 18-year-old Bowler.

Now Everton's work is close to paying off as they are close to agreeing a deal with QPR to take Bowler to Goodison Park.

Bowler has come through the youth ranks at QPR and only made his senior R's debut on the final day of last season, when the London club took on Norwich City.

He clocked up 21 minutes in QPR's final day defeat against Norwich, but could now never make another appearance for the Loftus Road club.

Bowler operates on the flank and has just a year left on his current contract at QPR.

It remains to be seen just how quickly Everton can get the deal for the 18-year-old over the line.
