FC Lugano have not yet received a suitable offer for Leeds United target Ezgjan Alioski, as Atalanta step up their pursuit of the Macedonia international.

Alioski has not yet reported back for pre-season training with Lugano and the club are increasingly resigned to losing him this summer, with coach Pierluigi Tami admitting that keeping the forward after his stellar last season will be tough.

Leeds have been working hard to sign Alioski, with the deal even claimed to be all but done just days ago.

However, according to Swiss outlet 4-4-2, Lugano have still to receive a concrete and suitable offer for the forward, who bagged 16 goals in the Swiss Super League last season.

It is also claimed that Atalanta are upping their efforts for Alioski.

The Serie A club are alive to talents in Swiss football and snapped up midfielder Remo Freuler from Luzern last summer, while they added midfielder Nicolas Haas from the same club this year.

Atalanta are now focusing in on Alioski and, having just finished fourth in Serie A, may fancy their chances of tempting the forward to Italy.

It remains unclear how far down the line Leeds' swoop for Alioski is, but amid interest from Atalanta and teams in Germany, if the Whites can land the Macedonian it would be considered a big coup.

Lugano's coach Tami recently urged Alioski to join Atalanta.
