Manchester United are poised to make an aggressive move for Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan this summer as Jose Mourinho seeks to add more quality to his midfield.

Roma and the midfielder’s representatives have been in talks over a new deal for the Belgian and the two are close to agreeing terms, with Nainggolan keen on continuing at the Giallorossi.

The midfielder wants a salary of around €4m plus bonuses, with Roma’s offer so far €4m including bonuses and the two parties are closing in on an agreement.

But the negotiations are set to become complicated as according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester United are prepared to offer big money in terms of a transfer fee and wages to the Belgian.

The Red Devils are prepared to place an offer of around €40m to €45m on Roma’s table for the 29-year-old midfielder and are prepared to almost double Nainggolan’s income.

The midfielder could sign a contract worth €7.5m per year if he agrees to move to Old Trafford this summer and Mourinho is prepared to aggressively pursue the midfielder.

Nainggolan snubbed an offer to join Chelsea last summer and it remains to be seen if Manchester United can pursue the Belgian to leave Roma this time around.
