Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi is to meet Celtic target Fabio Borini in Ibiza on Wednesday in an effort to convince the forward to agree to a move to the Rome club.

Borini is expected to leave Sunderland this summer following the club's relegation from the Premier League and has been linked with both AC Milan and Celtic; a move to Scotland would see the Italian reunite with former boss Brendan Rodgers.

However, Lazio are keen to lay their hands on the forward and the club's coach Inzaghi is set to try to charm Borini.

According to Sky Italia, Inzaghi is heading to Ibiza and will hold talks with Borini on Wednesday.

He will look to sell the project at Lazio to Borini, a former Roma player, and convince him to agree to a move to the Italian capital.

It is claimed that Lazio already have an understanding in place with Sunderland, but Borini is not yet sold on the move.

Sunderland snapped Borini up, initially on loan, from Liverpool in 2013 and he joined the club on a permanent basis in 2015.

The 26-year-old had a spell at Roma before he joined Liverpool in 2012.
